Basic way of thinking
According to Statistical Act (Act No. 53 of 2007), the national government and local public entities that conduct the statistical survey must take necessary measures to properly manage the questionnaire and other relevant documents collected by the statistical survey.
Data that you answered using this system will also be properly managed based on this regulation.
Communication line
All communications from your PC that sends the answer to this system are encrypted after login.

Measures on servers
The answered data is accumulated in the server of this system, but it will be deleted promptly after the survey period is over.
The server of this system is installed in a strictly managed data center.
We installed multiple firewalls and monitor illegal access 24 hours everyday.
Authentication of a statistical staff
Only the statistical staff permitted by each statistical survey can access the data you answered.
To confirm the permitted statistical staff , ID, password and one-time password token is used.
Relation with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information
The personal information that was gathered by a statistical survey is protected by Statistics Act.
The personal information protection system, which is specified by "Act on the Protection of Personal Information" (hereinafter referred to as the "Personal Information Protection Act" ) and "Act on the Protection of Personal Information Held by Administrative Organs" (hereinafter referred to as the "Personal Information Protection Act Held by Administrative Organs" ), came into effect from April 1, 2005. In the personal information protection system, the Personal Information Protection Act specified the basic principles widely used in the public and private sectors. In addition, it also specified rules on the handling of personal information in private sector. On the other hand, rules on the handling of personal information in public sector is specified by Personal Information Protection Act Held by Administrative Organs. However, if there is better handling of personal information protection in a specific law, that law will be used to protect personal information.
The personal information which is gathered by statistical survey is protected by the personal information protection system according to Statistics Act. Therefore, when doing statistical survey, based on the basic principle of Personal Information Protection Law, strict measures are token to personal information protection according to Statistics Act (not the Act on the Protection of Personal Information Held by Administrative Organs).
